When I was young, and in elementary school, I used to draw mazes like this all the time. Just never with this much detail. This pic - the first page of my newly-started sketch book - is a sort of homage to all the mazes I used to draw.
It's not meant to be challenging - this one was more about the drawing and form. But, if you want to try it, download and full view, then scroll as you follow the paths - so you'll only see 1/4 of the maze at once. Otherwise it's too easy. Oh, and start at the black flag at the bottom, and get to the white flag at the top.
I guess it's simple enough to understand, with the paths going over and under, and stairs and bridges here and there.
Now that was a fun world to get lost in! (I followed your advice and downloaded it to go through it bit by bit.) Sure is an amazing amount of little details to be found closeup... the eyes peering out of the church windows, the pile of toxic waste barrels, the glass window to the clock tower mechanism, and even the ubiquitous CN logo on the bridge! Oh, and I love the hydro plant with the giant H2O on the water tank. Amazing work.
Okay, now I want to make something like that in SL. xD ... >3 *imagines hundreds of people lost* >D

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
