It's been many years since I have attempted painting, and I thought it'd be a nice change to return to it. I'm actually making some paintings to decorate my future house with - some of which will be some odd, abstract Mario-themed stuff, like this one. So, there may be more of this in the future.
For now, here's what is most likely a random scene in Desert Land (Or some space between the sandpit and 2-5, for those who know SMB3 well).
Oh my, quite a while since I have seen some of your work, Pyro!~ It is quite nice, indeed, however, allow me to review it...
REVIEW: The work you have displayed here is quite a nice, and original, representation of an SMB3 level. I like how much the Chain Chomp stands out, which is shown through both the thick outline and the palette of it, as well. I feel the actual painting in the Chomp itself is quite messy, but this is expected. All in all, you did a good job to show that the Chomp is the main part of the piece. AS for the background, I am very much so liking the blending of the pipes, which are a faint green, with the reddish overcoat. It shows that they are in the background. As for the sun itself, it seems a little bit awkward to look at first, due to its somewhat strange structure, it is also painted quite well. A few things I did notice about the overall painting was that, well, it doesn't resemble that of a painting. I mean, of course you can notice it was painted, but the cartoonish style sets it away from the oh-so usual modern look for paintings, which is abstract. Another thing I noticed was that the thick outline of the Chomp was somewhat not needed, and would have been presented better without it. ALL IN ALL, very nice texture and colour used, and a very nice display.
RATING: 7/10
...(Also, the title reminds me of something Japanese like. ^^)

Abstract, intellectual Mario-themed paintings... the world needs more of this.
Absolutely awesome job... I find it incredibly amusing that someone could look at this painting and have no idea that it was a Mario- or even videogame-related. You'd be totally fooling them with the weird subtleness of the whole thing.
And speaking of subtle... I like the faintly visible pipes fading out of the deserty background. ^^
